As the CEO and Principal for Bloom Consulting Group, Inc., Heather oversees the definition and implementation of the firm’s strategic goals and objectives. She provides leadership and direction in strengthening the company’s service offerings and performance standards to assist clients with excellence in consulting, application development, project management, and business intelligence.

Heather is a highly qualified business leader with more than 20 years of experience and proven success developing strategies and executing business plans that drive revenue growth and profitability for companies across enterprise, mid-market, and consumer segments. She is passionate about technology, channel dynamics, Agile development, and cloud economics and how all four are redefining business strategy.

Before founding Bloom Consulting Group, Inc. in 2009, Heather spent eight years consulting for some of the largest Fortune 500 firms in the world to increase sales revenue and growth, including Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Computer Associates, IBM, Cisco, Citrix, BEA Systems, Enterasys, and GardaWorld.

Prior to consulting, Heather was a Vice President of Marketing for Lindsay Communications, a boutique marketing and sales communication firm in Seattle, where she was hired to build the online marketing business unit of the company. Heather also previously served as the Director of North America Marketing for one of Europe’s leading consumer software developers, Avanquest Software, a $100M and 500-person company based in France. There Heather was responsible for North American marketing efforts via multiple sales channels including retail, online, direct-to-consumer, business-to-business, and through original equipment manufacturers. Heather has additionally served in the capacity of Director of Marketing for eLocal.com, a provider of co-branded and private-labeled online content for Telcos, where she was responsible for public relations, marketing, and branding.

Heather is passionate about helping college students and is a frequent speaker on consulting at local events, including for the Seattle World Trade Center, Seattle Pacific University, and the University of Washington. Heather is also a speaker at industry conferences and panels, such as DRIVE and for the Institute of International Research. She is also a thought leader contributing to blogs on innovation, Windows application development, and the future of business intelligence visualization.

When Heather isn’t working, she reads, skis, plays tennis, travels, and spends as much time as possible with her husband Brian and her mini-dachshund, Maximus.



Nicole Watson
Vice President, Strategy

Nicole is a senior executive with nearly 20 years of experience growing and managing medium to large businesses in high-tech, manufacturing, and services industries. Nicole has a degree in Molecular Biology from Tulane University and an MBA from Rice University.

She is helping global clients with landing new strategies, targets, and systems. Prior to Bloom, Nicole was a Vice President at GardaWorld, a private security and risk consulting firm (formerly Vance and Kroll Security) where she led business development, government contracts, and marketing.

Prior to GardaWorld, Nicole led global channel marketing and alliances for a data networking and security manufacturer transitioning from direct sales to a high-touch channel model. She overhauled their partner program and expanded the solution and reseller network. She also crafted go-to-market strategies, managed global sales operations plans, and created joint solutions with IBM, Siemens, Deloitte, and SAP. She traveled and spoke extensively across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

Earlier in her career, Nicole managed process reengineering teams for a voice/data systems integrator and financial analysis for a start-up digital wireless provider. Inevitably, she developed an early penchant for fiscally sound sales, service, and cost structures. Nicole has developed a reputation for enabling visionary ideas with diverse teams and pragmatic execution to build businesses and brands.

In Nicole’s spare time she enjoys scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with her nieces.



Ray O’Hara
Board Member

O’Hara has more than 30 years of experience in consulting and investigations services, corporate security and law enforcement including managing large-scale security consulting and investigations projects in emerging markets and developing international executive protection, crisis management and response plans. He is a co-founder of the Global Security Risk Management Alliance, an organization that recognizes the blurring distinctions between traditional and logical security. O’Hara has served as Chairman of the Board and President of the ASIS International Board of Directors, and he has served as President of ASIS’ Professional Certification Board and Chair of the ASIS International Investigations Council.



Rob Hile

Hile currently serves as Director of Enterprise Command Centers for SureView Systems, a provider of security management and command center software. Recognized as a leading voice in the industry, Hile has more than 25 years of security industry, sales and management experience, encompassing sales and business leadership roles with both public and private organizations, such as Siemens, G4S, Convergint and TAC.



Shawn Usher

As President and CEO of Sparkhound, Usher focuses on finding unique ways to solve a client’s business and technology challenges. Over the past 18 years, he has shaped Sparkhound into a leading IT services company serving mid-market and enterprise customers. Its end-to-end approach includes the delivery of business consulting, technology solutions and managed services. As a long-time Microsoft partner, Usher brings a unique understanding of the enterprise customer to the board.
